Pacific Blu LP Not ICNZ Member

New Zealand-based company Pacific Blu LP is not a member of the Insurance Council of New Zealand and does not have recourse to the Fair Insurance Code.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom has ordered firms to stop selling home insurance policies from New Zealand-based Pacific Blu as it is not licensed as an insurer or registered as a financial services provider in New Zealand. http://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/pacific-blu-lp

The FCA warns that customers may not be aware that they have entered into an unregulated insurance contract under which there appears to be no regulatory protection.
