The Insurance Council is supporting Connect Smart week by running a free cyber risks event for Christchurch businesses.
Cyber-incidents are increasing at an alarming rate. It's not just affecting big corporates – it's affecting all businesses.
Join us for this free informative panel session where a panel of experts (IT security, risk management, legal and PR) will run though a cyber risk case study. The experts will discuss basic steps to managing cyber risks as well as possible responses after a breach has occured.
The event will cover the basics and “must knows” of cyber risks for small to medium sized businesses:

- Basic steps to managing cyber risk
- How to tell if you’ve suffered a cyber incident
- Tips and tools to protecting your business and staying safe online
- How cyber insurance can help protect your business
The speaker panel features experts from a range of IT, legal, public relations and insurance backgrounds, all with specialist expertise and experience on cyber security. The Panel will be MC'd by Digital Journey's Stuart Dillon-Roberts and members of the Panel include:
